To accelerate our timeline, finish building core state infrastructure, and scale our citizen services, the Chancellery is expanding. We are opening several key positions within our administration.
These roles offer a direct way to actively shape our future, earn Rooted Merits, and progress toward titles such as residency and citizenship. All of these positions are fully remote.
Open Positions in the Chancellery
While these positions are currently rewarded in Rooted Merits (at a base equivalent of €20/hour or performance-based models), they are structured to transition into fully compensated positions as the administration grows.
1. Administrative Clerk
- The Role: Manage routine administrative processes, respond to citizen inquiries, and handle simple bookkeeping using our highly automated system. Processes can easily be learned on the job.
- Requirements: Reliability, clear communication, and basic organizational skills. No specialized accounting background required.
- Time Commitment: About half an hour, or an hour per day in average, with the current rate of incoming inquiries.
- Reward: €20/hour equivalent in Rooted Merits (or performance-based per request handled).
2. Secretary of Automation
- The Role: Oversee technical optimizations, streamline governance processes, and implement modern tech solutions. Responsibilities include technical maintenance/enhancements for our web platform (Nuxt) and app (Flutter), alongside integrating viable AI workflows across administration services.
- Preferred: Experience with Nuxt, Flutter, or AI tool integration. Note: Required AI software subscriptions can be covered via the state budget.
- Time Commitment: Flexible, the more gets done the better.
- Reward: €20/hour equivalent in Rooted Merits.
3. Secretary of Strategic Partnerships
- The Role: Represent our administration to external partners and negotiate third-party benefits for our community (e.g., service discounts, platform credits, exclusive perks, and document recognition). As physical travel infrastructure develops, this role will expand to negotiating entry rights and cross-border agreements.
- Requirements: Strong negotiation, networking, and communication skills.
- Time Commitment: Completely flexible, the more goodies we can keep coming, the better.
- Reward: €20/hour equivalent in Rooted Merits, or a structured performance-based model (with potential affiliate commission opportunities).
4. Secretary of Fundraising
- The Role: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to increase revenue and donation inflows to support state projects and infrastructure.
- Requirements: Initiative, marketing/sales insight, and fundraising experience.
- Time Commitment: Completely flexible, however, this role is vital for the project and comes with great responsibility - this position should become full time as soon as possible.
- Reward: €20/hour equivalent in Rooted Merits (negotiable based on experience), plus the standard 15% commission on incoming donations through our referral program.
5. Manager of Community & Engagement
- The Role: Keep our global momentum going by organizing regular local meetups, activating local hubs, and fostering community connection across regions.
- Requirements: Passion for community building, event organizing, and outreach.
- Time Commitment: Flexible, generally several hours per event/meetup scheduled. The more meetups happening in general, the better.
- Reward: €20/hour equivalent in Rooted Merits, with priority to transition into a fully compensated position as community milestones are met.
