Liberterra is a new nation founded on libertarian principles and voluntary association on a disputed Danube parcel between Croatia and Serbia, and with partners in existing free zones.
Nations were once held together by shared ethnicity, culture and religion. Where those bonds weakened, politics became a contest to rule others and live at their expense. A new age of nations held together by shared ideas is coming. Choose yours wisely.

Titles can be earned through investment, donation and active contribution. This is the route most people take, from a first sign-up to a seat in Congress.
Everything in Liberterra happens in the app: your account, your Merits, your title and the initiatives you start. Creating an account is the first step.
Open the App (opens in new tab)Stake Merits as an investment you can later withdraw, or donate and receive Rooted Merits that stay locked for good. Together, your staked and rooted Merits set your standing.
How Merits WorkTitles start at E-Resident and climb as your Merits grow. Each step up brings more rights, documents and recognition in the community.
See the TitlesIntroduce a real improvement to community life, then request Virtues for it. A pool of randomly selected citizens decides whether the result has earned them.
Initiatives and VirtuesThe members with the most Virtues fill the Congress seats each time an election concludes, four times a year. Virtues turn into Rooted Merits after four years, so seats go to people who keep contributing.
How Elections WorkWho has joined, when Congress next turns over, where the land is and which law holds it together.

Liberterra starts with its people. The community, its jurisdiction and its public rules and services are what make the country; territory matters, but it is not the only thing that defines the nation. Liberland's claim to Gornja Siga, a parcel on the Danube claimed by neither Croatia nor Serbia, is still maintained.
Read About the JurisdictionNo. The jurisdiction is open to adopt wherever you live today. There is not yet a place where members can live entirely under Liberterra's rules, and work toward one continues: at Gornja Siga, through Special Administrative Regions agreed with host countries, and through private settlement efforts.
Read About SARsYour title reflects the combined total of staked and rooted Merits you hold. The ladder starts at E-Resident, and each step up brings further rights, documents and recognition in the community.
Read About TitlesMerits are both a record of your contribution and a crypto token held in your linked wallet. Liquid Merits can be traded, staked Merits are locked as an investment and can be withdrawn later, and rooted Merits stay locked for good.
Read About MeritsYes. Improving the wellbeing of the community through real work can earn Virtues, granted after review by existing members. Virtues convert to rooted Merits on demand, or automatically after four years.
Read About ContributingCongress decides on laws and the state budget. Its seats go to the members highest on the Virtues ladder and are refilled four times a year, so leadership follows recent contribution rather than campaigning. The Chancellery, led by a Chancellor that Congress elects, runs the administration day to day.
Read About the CongressThrough a structured filing process in the government app, with evidence from both sides and a binding ruling from a judge chosen out of a public directory of candidates that citizens have backed with trust votes.
